Production process

From ammonium sulfate suspension to sealed vial

Eight controlled stages, documented per batch at Armoracia LLC, Lviv.

01
Stage 01

Desalting on Sephadex

The initial ammonium sulfate suspension of the peroxidase enzyme preparation is passed through a Sephadex column — a special gel that separates low-molecular-weight salts, primarily residual ammonium sulfate, from the target protein.

02
Stage 02

Centrifugation

After desalting, the samples are centrifuged under controlled parameters to remove insoluble material and obtain a clarified solution. The resulting supernatant is used for further chromatographic purification.

03
Stage 03

Ion-Exchange Chromatography

A key purification step: the solution is slowly passed through an ion-exchange column, where the target enzyme, peroxidase, binds to the resin. Accompanying components and bulk (contaminating) proteins are separated during washing and subsequent elution.

Stage 04

Analytical Control

Each fraction undergoes instrumental analysis: spectrophotometric measurements are used to determine the spectral purity index of the preparation (RZ), calculated as the ratio of optical density at wavelengths of 403 and 275 nm (A403/A275). The measurement results are processed using software and documented in the form of graphs and reports.

Stage 05

Freezing in Cassettes (−50 °C)

The purified solution is dispensed into labeled cassettes and frozen to −50 °C. This step prepares the preparation for lyophilization.

06
Stage 06

Freeze-Drying (Lyophilization)

After freezing, the preparation undergoes sublimation drying: under reduced pressure, water is removed directly from the solid phase, bypassing the liquid stage. The result is a stable powder with a long shelf life.

Stage 07

Activity Measurement

After freeze-drying, a representative portion of the preparation is taken from each cassette as a sample for quality control. Final control: serial dilutions of the finished preparation are tested for enzymatic activity using a UV spectrophotometer. Based on the measurement results, the activity of the preparation is calculated in the established units, and the obtained values are documented for the corresponding batch. It is this data that is entered into the certificate of quality and accompanying documentation.

Stage 08

Packaging

After quality control has been performed and compliance with the established specifications confirmed, the lyophilized enzyme preparation is weighed and filled into hermetically sealed vials.

Certification

Certification

Every batch of horseradish peroxidase we ship is manufactured to the highest quality standards and in full compliance with the regulations that govern reagent production, medical-device supply and export from Ukraine. Purification, analytical control and packaging all run under a documented quality-management system, and no lot leaves Lviv until its spectral purity index and enzymatic activity have been measured, recorded and signed off against specification.

That discipline is not a claim — it is paperwork, and we keep all of it. Our certification file covers the company, the quality system, each production batch and every export formality, so your regulatory affairs team can close its file on the first pass rather than the third.

Please note that we send the set of documents upon request.
